The Global Music Awards medallion is a masterpiece of medallic art with an image by Thomas Hart Benton (1889-1975). Benton is considered the “Mark Twain” of American art because his fluid, sculpted figures capture the essence of and speaks to the sensibilities of everyday people. The image is classic Benton; a populist, democratic representation expressing the powerful rhythms of music in everyday life in every country around the world. Benton recognized that sound is everywhere in our lives and it occupies the core of our thinking, feeling and happiness.
The 3” medallion sits on a wood base. The thickness is .25”. Weight: 8-11 ounces depending on metals. The medallions are die struck using: Gold Level Award = 3-D relief brass. Silver Level Award = 3-D relief brass with nickel plating. Bronze Level Award = 3-D relief brass with antique finish.
